Indiana Students and Community Leaders Convene at Statehouse for Climate Action Forum

The Indiana Statehouse hosted the "Confront the Climate Crisis: We Rise Together" forum, bringing together youth leaders, legislators, and community advocates. Co-president Elena Krueper emphasized defending scientific integrity and resisting censorship. Attendees explored practical climate solutions for Indiana, focusing on sustainability, policy action, and community engagement.

Indiana Students Join Statehouse Rally Against NIH Funding Cuts

Hundreds gathered at the Indiana Statehouse to protest proposed cuts to National Institutes of Health funding. Indiana University students and ASIU students voiced concerns over the potential impact on scientific research and public health. The rally was part of a national day of action, with similar events held across the country.

Joint Town Hall on Protecting Science and Academic Freedom

Over 200 attendees gathered at the Indiana Memorial Union State Room East and online for the "Stand Up for Science" town hall. Organized by Concerned Scientists at IU and Advocates for Science at IU, the event addressed recent political challenges impacting the scientific community. Speakers emphasized the importance of defending scientific integrity and academic freedom in the face of political pressures.
